Great Find in Chennai! Visited this place twice - once for the food and the next for the cocktails, and both visits were impressive. The modern, black-themed decor sets a cool vibe. Highly recommend the paneer and tofu dishes for their outstanding flavors. Don't miss their signature cocktails, especially the unforgettable smoke-infused whiskey one. Definitely worth a visit!

The ambience of this restaurant is amazing, very chic minimalistic interiors. Almost everywhere I go the lotus root is a must, and at black orchid it was delicious- highly recommend it! The mozzarella pesto was different, not what I was expecting but very interesting. The baby corn was okay, it had a strong coconut milk flavour. The pasta was amazing, we asked for extra garlic and it elevated the entire dish! We ordered 2 pizzas (only one pictured here), they were both very disappointing, the crust was like a biscuit and there wasn’t much else to the dish, the toppings and crust didn’t pair well together. I would not order the pizza if I ever visited again. This place is also pretty expensive, so if you come in a large group, it’ll be lighter on your wallet! Overall 4.2/5 stars from me!

Went there with some friends (total 6), it was a very nice experience, Food is very interesting and quite tasty. Their chefs are also very accommodating (made special curd rice for me :) ) . This was my first time here but definitely not the last time. Great place , Great crowd and doesn't get the riffraff element here but a good bunch of people. Highly recommend. A+

Went there was a relaxed week day lunch and option for the three course meal with a drink. We were sceptical about the quantity and taste but it was a tasteful surprise. Enjoyed every course and the staff took good care of us. Dessert wasn't part if my combo but they were kind enough to offer. This three course meal and clam ambience might not be available on weekends so keep that in mind. Parking wasn't available which isn't great considering it's a restobar.

We recently visited Black Orchid for dinner on a Friday night. Loved the food! Food was great! We ordered a variety of veg and non veg items and they all tasted very good! Ordered couple of cocktails and mocktails, again very tasty. The atmosphere was cool and the service was very good. My only complaint would be the quantity is quite less for the price charged per dish. But I would visit again for the food.

Really great ambience and service. The manager Rony was very kind and made us feel welcome. Each and every dish ordered was fantastic (including the drinks) Their preparation was unique. Watching the chef work on the teppanyaki grill was an experience in itself. Would definitely visit this place again.

Visited on a relaxed weekday when it wasn't too busy. Food was decent, however the drinks were poor. It was stale and extremely flat. Ambience was nice, wasn't too loud, good music but the AC didn't seem to work well. Service was decent but they couldn't fix what went wrong for us. Overall, disappointed with the quality especially for the price you pay.
